Ken Pereira, General Manager and VP - Alternate Care Solutions
Ken Pereira is the General Manager and Vice President of the Alternate Care Solutions group at Mediware. Prior to Mediware, Ken was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Automation, Inc. (HAI). Ken grew HAI from a small consulting business to a worldwide healthcare software provider. Under Ken's leadership, HAI was recognized as an Inc. 500 company three years in a row and was listed in the Top 100 software companies by Software magazine. Ken is also a co-owner of Oridium, LLC, a software venture management firm. Ken has served as CEO of Tradesafe.com, an innovative online payment processing firm serving Amazon.com, Lycos, eBay, Fleet Bank and over a hundred Internet auction sites. He has also held various management positions at National Medical Care, Protocare and Gulf & Western.
Ken received a B.S.B.A. from Bryant College and an MBA from Babson College. In 1989, he was a Winner of the Douglas Entrepreneurial Prize at Babson College and in 1994 he was a Finalist for the Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Ken is also actively involved in The Tomorrow Fund, a local charity for children with cancer and has most recently served as co-chair for its largest annual fundraising event.
Jennifer Keiser - General Manager, Software
As General Manager of Software, Jen brings with her more than 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Jen has been a champion of the customer in numerous management roles at HAI, including Director of Customer Service, Director of Product Management and Vice President of Implementations. Jen's efforts in these areas resulted in the successful development and release of 3 software product lines geared toward the home health and home infusion markets. Her ability to establish close working relationships with customers has been a critical aspect of HAI's success. Prior to joining HAI, she held software development positions at Illinois firms Caterpillar, Inc. and Profit Management Development. Her technical background includes programming and database management.
Jen holds a B.S in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master's in Information Technology from Harvard University.
